Player Manual

How to navigate the dual-stream audio engine.

Standard Playback

By default, the global player streams a highly optimized 320 kbps MP3 file. This stream is peak-normalized at -1db to prevent clipping on mobile devices. It is designed to play instantly without buffering, even on standard cellular connections.

The Lossless Switch

On the right side of the player bar, you will see a toggle labeled LOSSLESS. Activating this switch bypasses the MP3 stream entirely. The player will instantly reconnect to the vault and stream the raw, uncompressed master file (WAV or FLAC) directly to your speakers.

Data Warning: Streaming a 5-minute uncompressed master can consume upwards of 70MB of data. If you experience stuttering or buffering while the toggle is active, it means your network connection is not fast enough to pull the raw file in real-time. Switch off the toggle to return to the frictionless stream.

Live A/B Testing

The player supports seamless hot-swapping. You can flip the Lossless toggle on and off while a track is currently playing. The engine will seamlessly switch audio sources without losing your place in the timeline, allowing you to instantly compare the raw studio master against the standard stream.
